Please do watch the trailer for the new documentary The September Issue: Anna Wintour and the Making of Vogue. It will be out in NY on August 28th and will open nationwide on September 11th. It was an official selection and winner of excellence in cinematography award: documentary at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Along with Sundance, it was shown at far too many international film festivals to list here, and has received rave reviews across the globe. I am personally looking forward to seeing the deeper and apparently hilarious side of Anna Wintour (think a better, classier, funnier, and more important and influential Rachel Zoe, if you need a reference point). The movie will provide access into the life of Anna Wintour and into the life of Vogue, giving viewers a first rate peek into the making of the 5 pound September issue of vogue and all the effort that goes into putting together fashion's most essential publication. According to everything I've read this is a can't miss film that will not disappoint.
