It Girl: Forever and Always

The September issue of Marie Claire features the fashion it girl Ashley Olsen. In the issue Ashley talks about her style secrets and her new flourishing career as a designer. Unlike her sister Mary-Kate who has decided to continue with acting, Ashley is devoting herself entirely to designing. Ashley has been a style icon for some years now, ever since her ans her sister created the boho chic look, but as she began to take on the role of designer her personal style transformed into a polished, sophisticated, menswear inspired, basic focused look with a slight edge thanks to elaborate accessories and statement pieces. To be honest, I am really really liking Ashley's style and her two new clothing lines: The Row, her high end basics line, and Elizabeth and James her lower end, but still very expensive line named after her younger brother and sister.

Take a sneak peek look at Ashely's Marie Claire spread:

Here is a compolation of Ashley's looks, from street wear to award shows:

Love the shoes, love the statement coat.

Love the shoes and the brown leather.

Both these looks are just flawless. I wish I could wear a sexy fitted blazer like this one.

Menswear galor, but done right.

Casual demin.

Love the top, love the layered jackets, and love love the platform wedges.

You know I'm all about the rings, and she always does the right amount of skin to be just sexy enough, but not trashy.

Love the vest mixed with the tight jeans and the hair piece.

Fur, black leather, leaopard print, crocodile, enough said.

Want to wear these looks.

The shoes!

Definitely visit the website for Elizabeth and James. I am basically obsessed with everything, especially the jackets and the shoes. The website doesn't have everything, in fact I recently saw some of their button-up shirts and they were awesome. They have buttons in the the back to provide a perfect fit. Unfortunately the website for The Row is not up yet, but check out this video ad, which is actually really cool and represents Ashely's style point of view very well.
