Beloved Burton

My beloved Tim Burton is coming out with two new films, which I am openly super excited to see. The animated film 9 comes out in October, while the remake of the classic Alice in Wonderland does not come out until March 2010. Check out the trailers, 9 is another demonstration of Burton's endless imagination and creativity, and Alice in Wonderland is a film that only Burton could bring back to life. I can't wait!

Here is a more of a sneek peek of what Alice in Wonderland is going to look like. The costumes are one of the many wonderfully elaborate facets of the film that is sure to make the imaginary world feel very real.



Alice is played by Mia Wasikowska (who you may remember from Defiance, but is sure to get her big break from this role), and Anne Hathaway plays the White Queen.



Helena Bonham Carter (Burton's wife) plays the Red Queen and who else other than Johnny Depp could play the Mad Hatter. He is not only the master of out there characters, but also a long time favorite of Burton, they have worked together on Edward Sisscorhands, Sleepy Hallow, Corpse Bride, Sweeny Todd, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory



The picture below is Alice's new couture blue dress. In the film after Alice drinks the shrinking potion she is forced to reconfigure her dress and viola a beautiful blue, black, and ruffled one of a kind piece is born.
