Flawless Cotillard

Preternaturally gorgeous actress Marion Cotillard can pretty much do anything—and look flawless while doing it. The Oscar-winning vamp and current face of Lady Dior, continues to proves she's got modeling chops as well in the August issue of L'Officiel Paris. Shot by Andrea Spotorno, the spread finds Cotillard in various stages of dressing, undressing, and primping—making for an almost paparazzi-like voyeuristic glimpse at the life of a superstar. Love the big-shouldered YSL jacquard suit with only a bra underneath, and the balloon-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana frock.

Pink and Yellow Go Together

Oh, fox news. This clip has been making the rounds (found on Huffington Post). Watch as these two dissolve into shameless flirty first-dateness. And yes, Ainsley, that did just happen.

Three Guys Walk into a Bar...

This website always cheers me up, maybe its the zippy music, the yiddishisms, or the corny punch lines. The name says it all - Old Jews Telling Jokes.

Last Night's Look

I know I shouldn't admit this, but one one my go-to websites is People.com. My favorite section is their "Last Night's Look: Hit or Miss?" photos (this just keeps getting more embarrassing). In any case, the looks above are all definitely hits. I particularly love Zoe Saldana's shoes - well, what I can see of them. Guess I'll have to trove "You Asked, We Found: Star Looks" to find out.

And Now There's A Book

The infamous fashion blogger Scott Schuman of The Satorialist has been working on his first book since January and it is scheduled for release on August 12th. The book includes photographs of well know fashion figures alongside photographs of real people with exceptional style. He bridges the gap between runway and street style just like on his blog (although we all know what he defines as street style is more like people with style and money). The book covers Paris, London, Moscow, Milan, New York City, Florence, and Stockholm, but most importantly it is a prime selection of Schuman's favorite fashion shots. It will be avaliable at amazon, and barnes and nobles. For a limited time it will be available in hardcover for a staggering $175 (a little cheaper on various websites), but if you aren't willing to shell out that type of cash the paperback version is a affordable $15-17. Here is a little preview and its quite predictable.

Total Pages: 512
Old, rich Europeans: 47
Quirky hats: 52 (including one lampshade masquerading as a hat)
Photos of Garance Doré: 2
Photos of Giovanna Battalia: 10
Scarves: 90
Bikes: 9
Cigarettes: 46
Women in blazers and/or suits: 19
Models: 19
Short pants: 31
Men in heels: 1

On a slightly different and in so many ways better note, the satorialist has a girlfriend.....and she has a blog...a really good blog. Like her loverboy she is all about the photographs. Crisp, clean photographs of extremely fashionable and attractive Europeans. However, she adds a lot of sketches, which she draws herself, and she is more focused on females. Don't let her personal menswear inspired style fool you, her blog is full of variety and distinctiveness. Definitely check it out there is literally no way you won't like it.

Oscillation Jubilation

After reading so much about the wonders of oscillating mascara brushes, I finally tried it, and I have to say I really liked it. Mascara is my must have make-up product, and these new mascaras provide a voluminous lash with zero clumps. Only down side is you can't use it in the car, but then again I shouldn't be doing that in the first place.

Lacome Oscillation just came out in October 2008, and at one point the waiting list numbered at 21,000. Furthermore it was number one in dollar sales in department stores and Sephora combined. It sells for $34.

Estee Lauder's Turbolash was actually the first to be released, and it sells for $32.

Maybelline introduced pulse perfection this July, and it claims the same benefits as its more expensive counterparts--long, strong, and zero clump lashes. Conveniently you do not have to travel to a department store or Sephora to get this product, its available at all normal drugstores.

Internet It Girl: Stephanie

Stephanie is a 23 year-old Copenhagen based stylist and designer, who has been getting featured all over the internet for her style perspective and market fashion finds. She rocks a lot of simply patterned dresses, chunky boots with bare legs, boyfriend blazers, baggy shirts tucked into short shorts, loose cardigans, and lots of white. She clearly likes statement jewelry and shoes, but when she wears statement pieces like the baggy slacks or the puffy sleeved shirt she keeps the rest of the outfit simple. She relishes in monochromatic outfits, and high-waisted shirts and shorts. Overall I think her simple, yet trendy and feminine menswear inspired look deserves all the internet attention.

Will Arnett's Reading of Are You There God? It's Me Margaret

Will Arnett went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and was asked to do a reading of Are You There God? It's Me Margaret. Its a coming of age book, and in the passage chosen for Arnett the young girl is praying for a nice big pair of boobs. Arnett's reading is both funnier ans scarier than one could imagine.

One Ring For Everyday

I have been browsing the internet for weeks now trying to find an everyday ring. I have narrowed my choices, and decided that one of these would be an excellent birthday gift, and I'm really digging the rings that cover multiple fingers. I think they are fun and different. I'm definitely going with gold, of course, because it will match every other piece of jewelry I own. Which do you like?

I'm leaning towards this ring. Its classic and simple, but still unique:

These are a bit edgier and more elaborate:

This is similar to the others because it too is a ring that crosses multiple fingers, but clearly its a bird, and I think its the girliest option:

In the category of single finger rings this is the only piece I have found that I really like. I think it is good for everyday, and funky enough to not bore me:

Hermione Is All Grown Up and Modeling

As if it wasn't enough that Emma Watson is by far the most attractive member of the Harry Potter cast, she has now become a high-end fashion model. Check out the new Burberry London fall 2009 campaign. There is going to be a feeding frenzy surrounding this girl everywhere she goes at Brown, from boys trying to date the movie star to girls trying to nab some new Burberry duds. Beauty and brains is quite the burden. But then again, somehow I don't feel so bad for her.
